Easter Services

Our Easter Services will be as follows:

Good Friday:  We will have a Good Friday service and communion, beginning at 10:30.

Easter Sunday:  We will have our traditional pancake breakfast from 9:30 to 10:30 on Easter Sunday.  This will be followed by a special time of singing in the sanctuary from 10:45 - 11:00 and then we will have our Easter Sunday service at 11:00.

There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL on Easter Sunday.

If you would like to help cook the pancake breakfast or can help with set up or cleanup,  please sign the sheet at the back of the sanctuary.

Don't Forget to Spring Ahead

Just a reminder that Daylight Savings Time begins in the early morning hours of March 13th so don't forget to set your clocks ahead an hour before you go to bed on the evening of the 12th.

Baptism

We are planning to have a baptismal ceremony on Easter Sunday (March 27th). If you are a Christian who has not yet followed Christ's example of baptism and would like to, or if you have questions about baptism and all that it entails, please speak to Pastor Arden as soon as possible.  We will be running a course on it leading up to the ceremony.

Valentine's Day

We are not holding any special events for Valentine's Day this year but we do encourage all married couples to check out the special Focus on the Family event being held at Church of the Rock on Monday February 15th from 7:30 - 9:30. Hosted by speaker Gary Thomas, this event is entitled "Building a Lifelong Love." The cost is $15 and tickets can be purchased online at info@funandfaith.ca, www.focusonthefamily.ca under the events sidebar, or you can call 519-342-6492.

Christmas Activities

We would love for you to come visit us this Christmas season.  Here are the times of our special services:

Sunday December 20th @ 11:00:  Our pastor will preach his special Christmas sermon.

Sunday December 20th @ 6:30: Our Sunday School children will be retelling the story of the birth of our Lord and Savior.  This will be followed by light refreshments in the basement.

Thursday December 24th @ 6:30: The most beautiful service of the season, our Candlelight Service.  Come and let yourself be soothed and uplifted by this peaceful evening of stories, songs, scriptures and poems. Light refreshments to follow.

Sweetheart's Cafe

We are excited to announce that we will once again be hosting a Sweetheart's Cafe.  This event is a fun-filled night of fellowship and food for engaged and married couples.  There will be specialty coffees, luscious desserts and fun games presented in a non-threatening environment so please invite some married friends and come out for a good time.

Saturday February 27th @ 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20/couple.  Please leave a message at the office (831-6775) or see Kathy or Judy to purchase tickets.

Tickets must be purchased by February 22nd.

Sieg Grafe

It is with profound sadness that we announce that our beloved brother Siegfried Grafe was called home to glory on Sunday February 1st, 2015.  The details of his funeral are as follows:


There will be a visitation/viewing at Bethel Baptist Church (205 Roseberry St.) Sunday Feb. 8 from 6-8:00 o’clock in the evening.

The memorial service will be held at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church (500 Lagimodiere Blvd) on Monday at 1:00.

There will be a short announcement in the Free Press on Wednesday and a full length one in the Saturday paper.
